According to the Bible, it's in!

Where have all the Christians gone?

I can't seem to find them.

Conviction, truth is all passe,

they say,

Tolerance, love is en vougue,

strike a pose!

Now, I'm a little confused,

As I ponder this over...

See, I was always told

God is always and will always be

the Same

So, why should we, His children,

"fit in"

In His name?

(Am just I insane?)

But then I listened again

Yeah, it kinda made sense

How can we reach the world

If we don't cross over that fence?

They have to know we're "cool"

We're not freaks, geeks, or God forbid, holy rollers!

You can be a Christian, too!

Just come to the altar and say, "I do."

But then I felt something

I've never felt before

I began to shake

In the heat of a holy fire.

I said, "If that's true,

THEN WHAT EXACTLY DID CHRIST DIE FOR?"

Lord, forgive me 

for insulting

Your Ultimate Sacrifice, 

For treating Your robe of righteousness

that You paid for with

You very own blood,

As a garment of fashion,

only worn when

it's "in."

I'm tired..I really need a vacation....1 more month and I have a whole week off!  Alleluia!

Oh, how I wish I could do this:   Doesn't even need words, does it?

I will close my eyes and pretend I'm there:)

(though it's a little hard in this weather...but Mickey Mouse says there's power in "imagination" so I'll try REALLY HARD!)

EVERYTHING

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

Yes, the dreaded day (for singles soon approaching 30) is here again!

However, this year, I've chosen a new approach...I'm going to use a wooden BADGER, ..hehe, sorry, couldn't resist after the slack I got from the last blog ;)

Anyways, I am choosing to be content with what I have.  That's it, that simple.  Now, I can't resist but list a few of the ways God's blessed me, in order to give Him glory!

I call it "Count Your Blessings" or for all your Monty Python fans, "She's going to tell":

1.) My beautiful son, Tommy, who not only adds so much to my life, but has completely transformed my paradigm thereof.  I love you, you little munchkin, you!

2.) As usual, but nonetheless, very heartfelt, my family: especially my mom and dad  2 gorgeous sisters...words cannot express, but to sum up: "you are the wind beneath my wings"..yeah, i'm pretty much a mushy, sentimental, cheesey gal.

3.) My newfound group of friends, which keeps expanding: this basically started back in September when I started attending one of the church's small groups...as I like to call it, "The Church of Will."  Seriously, I am a different person (for the better) because of this group.  God has used them powerfully in my life :)

4.) The never-ending, unconditional, faithful love of my Savior, Jesus Christ!

5.) My health!

6.) My job - I have been complaining about my job forever, but recently God has convicted me that I have a lot to be thankful for in that area as well.

7.) I could go on and on as we all could, but I just want to say, "Thank You, Lord," for not giving me what I deserve (amen!) and in exchange, meeting my every need, want, and desire!  I love You!

So, as I was saying...HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to all of you!  I know I will have a great one this year, as I think about all the love that surrounds me.  hehe! And this is the only one you get ;)
